Create a legal notice

Every business-like website in Germany needs an legal notice – if it is missing or incomplete, it threatens warnings. Here it arises by filling out: The preview grows when typing, and nothing is sent to a server.

A business card, a contact envelope and a building are merged into one website document.

What matters

The legal notice must be of each page with a maximum of two clicks Hidden in a bottom or only on the homepage is not enough, usually via a link in the footer, which really means "legal notice".

The address must be loadable: one mailbox is not enough. In addition to the e-mail address, a second, immediate means of contact makes sense – a telephone number meets this unquestionably, a pure contact form is controversial.

The Tax number does not belong in the legal notice, only the VAT identification number, if any; who does not have one, leaves the field blank.

The previous link to the EU Dispute Settlement Platform is omitted: the platform was shut down in July 2025, and many generators continue to add it – this one does not.

The text does not replace any legal advice. In special constellations – regulated professions, international connections, several operators – a legal review is worthwhile.

Appropriate to this: The page check checks whether the legal notice and privacy policy on a website are linked at all.
